LEHM 2004 – Trade Fair and Conference on Building with Earth

To accompany the "denkmal 2004", one of the largest trade fairs worldwide for reconstruction and conservation, the Dachverband Lehm and ICOMOS Germany has organised the LEHM 2004, the 4th international trade fair and congress on building with earth taking place at the famous Leipziger Messe. As in previous conferences the LEHM 2004 will consist of two separate parts:

Trade fair – 27-30th October 2004 parallel to the denkmal 2004
Conference – 29-30th October 2004 with field trips on 31st October

  Conference  

In Germany as in many other parts of the world, earth is used as a building material in conservation work. The LEHM 2004 will therefore focus on “Earth in Building Conservation” and will take place in the famous Leipziger Messe alongside the denkmal 2004 trade fair.

Conference languages are German and English (simultaneous interpretation).

  Trade fair  

The denkmal 2004 and trade fair for building with earth is one of the most important platforms worldwide for exchanging practical experience, for presenting new innovations and establishing contacts and partnerships. The denkmal 2002 attracted more than 18,000 visitors from 35 countries with more than 400 exhibitors from 15 countries.

The Dachverband Lehm e.V. will also be present at the trade fair with our own stand.

All conference fees include free entry to the denkmal 2004 trade fair. Prices for complete and day tickets include the conference proceedings, midday buffet and beverage as well as free entry to the trade fair.

All members of ICOMOS and the Dachverband Lehm are entitled to a 20% reduction off all conference and day tickets.
